Update – 3:15 pm, January 9th, 2011: I managed to reattach the wires to the connector. IT’S ALIVE!
Update – 2:00 pm, January 9th, 2011: Today the light stopped working! I put in fresh batteries turned it on and it worked. I turned it off to put it on my camera. When I went to turn it back on… Nothing, Nadda, Zip! After a bit of troubleshooting, I discovered it is the battery compartment connector that is the culprit. The wires were not soldered in correctly. Luckily, I can fix that, but what a pain in the ass!
Lets try this again. The first review I put up I was not happy with the video quality, so I reshot it with a different camera.
The Bescor LED-60AAK light is a 60 watt (equivalent) camera mountable light. The light is under $100 and you get what you pay for. See the video review above to see what I mean.
