Canon is at it again with a firmware update for the 7D.
Version 2.0.X is the most comprehensive update ever released for a Canon camera.
Here are some of the key features:
Higher maximum burst rates from 15 to 25 images in RAW mode and from 8 to 17 images in RAW + JPEG.
Compatibility with new Canon GP-E2 GPS receiver.
Up to 64 levels of manual audio level adjustment. Film makers will love that.
When shooting in auto ISO mode, users can now set a maximum ISO setting of up to 6400.
Some of the other features:
In camera RAW image processing.
In camera JPEG image resizing.
In camera ratings.
Quick control during playback.
customizable file names.
Time zone settings and faster scrolling of magnified images.
The firmware upgrade will be available in August 2012.
