If your audience can’t hear what you’re saying or the audio is poor quality, they are not going to watch your video. Period! It may sound harsh, but it’s the truth.
We already know the built in mics on your digital camera are not that great. And, we have looked at improving your audio quality by using a lavalier mic. Now, we are going to look at the Zoom H2 personal audio recorder. Why use a personal recorder? Simple, they can record much higher audio quality, they can record in stereo, they have a vast array of audio controls and settings, and they make your videos audio sound professional. I’m not going to get into too much detail here since the video below lets you hear the audio quality of the Zoom H2 and the built in mics of the two cameras I use.
